Before we even step out the door, we’ve already traveled the world through our screens. One scroll through Instagram and suddenly we’re planning brunch at that minimalist cafe downtown, booking a trip to that beach resort our favorite influencer just posted about, or hunting down that dessert everyone on TikTok can’t stop raving about. I can’t even count how many times this has happened to me. A friend sent me a post of a newly opened restaurant, and before we even agree on what time to meet, I’m already checking their Facebook page for the menu, reviews, and photos from other customers. After all, no one wants to waste their time (or outfit) on a place that looks good online but disappoints in person.
