The Clothes We Grew Up In Are Back (But This Time, They’re Ours)

  Because we are not reliving our teenage fashion mistakes… we’re upgrading them. You know what’s wild? The stuff we once wore unironically to high school, the mall, and awkward Friday night parties is now showing up on runways and Instagram feeds, looking somehow cooler than it did the first time. These trends aren’t just back because fashion is running out of ideas. They’re back because we’ve changed.  We’re not the same kids tugging at our low-rise jeans or adjusting our butterfly clips in a compact mirror.  We’re adults now, with more confidence, better boundaries, and a deep understanding of which shoes we can actually survive a full day in. The fact that we can revisit these styles without the same insecurities says something bigger: it’s proof of growth. Back then, trends could dictate how we felt about ourselves.
